Out and Back from HQ

3 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to northside trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd.Turn around there, and return to HQ, retracing your steps all the way Veterans to Mopac to northside trail and to GZLs HQ.

4 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to northside trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Exposition. Turn around there, and return to HQ, retracing your steps all the way LA Blvd to Mopac to northside trail and to GZLs HQ.

5 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to northside trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to water stop at Memphis (across from Golf Course). Turn around there, and return to HQ, retracing your steps all the way LA Blvd to Mopac to northside trail and to GZLs HQ.

7 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to northside trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Continue Scenic to Cherry. Wind around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Stevenson. Turn around at that corner (Stevenson@Rockmoor), and return Rockmoor to Cherry to Scenic, etc., retracing your steps all the way to northside trail and to GZLs HQ.

8 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to northside trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Continue Scenic to Cherry. Wind around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson over to Scenic. Scenic down along river to big house on your right that has the giant open lot next to it with the tree house. Turn around there at one of the fabulous boat houses on the left side of the street, and retrace your steps home. Up Scenic to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson back to Rockmoor, down to Cherry, to Scenic (name change) to LA Blvd. To Mopac to northside trail and back to HQ.

10 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to northside trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Continue Scenic to Cherry. Wind around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson over to Scenic. Scenic down along river to hard right corner, which takes you back to Scenic. Left on Scenic at stop sign. Scenic around to Pecos. Left on Pecos to old dry cleaners site at 35th. After that water stop, turn around and retrace your steps home. Pecos back to Scenic. Scenic down and around to hard right turn at bottom of Scenic on the water level. Up Scenic to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson back to Rockmoor, down to Cherry, to Scenic (name change) to LA Blvd. To Mopac to northside trail and back to HQ.

12.3 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to northside trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Continue Scenic to Cherry. Wind around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson over to Scenic. Scenic down along river to hard right corner, which takes you back to Scenic. Left on Scenic at stop sign. Scenic around to Pecos. Left on Pecos up to 35th. Left on 35th over to Mt. Bonnell Road. Right on Mt. Bonnell Road up, up, up to parking lot and base of steps. After the water stop, turn around and retrace your steps home. Down MB Road to 35th, over to Pecos, down Pecos to Scenic. Scenic down and around to hard right turn at bottom of Scenic on the water level. Up Scenic to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson back to Rockmoor, down to Cherry, to Scenic (name change) to LA Blvd. To Mopac to northside trail and back to HQ.

14.3 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to northside trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Continue Scenic to Cherry. Wind around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson over to Scenic. Scenic down along river to hard right corner, which takes you back to Scenic. Left on Scenic at stop sign. Scenic around to Pecos. Left on Pecos up to 35th. Left on 35th over to Mt. Bonnell Road. Right on Mt. Bonnell Road up, up, up to parking lot and base of steps. After the water stop, continue on Mt. Bonnell Road to first right hand street after the parking lot, which is Mt. Bonnell Drive. Right on MB Drive, across Balcones, to hard left corner onto Edgemont. Left on Edgemont to its end, and take the hard left turn up Glen Rose up one block to first left hand street, which is Madrona Drive. Take a left on Madrona back to Edgemont. Take a right on Edgemont back to Mount Bonnell Drive. Take a right on MB Drive back across Balcones to MB Road, left on MB Road back to water stop. Down MB Road back to 35th, over to Pecos, down Pecos to Scenic. Scenic down and around to hard right turn at bottom of Scenic on the water level. Up Scenic to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson back to Rockmoor, down to Cherry, to Scenic (name change) to LA Blvd. To Mopac to northside trail and back to HQ.

16 Miles (Out and Back version): Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to northside trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Continue Scenic to Cherry. Wind around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson over to Scenic. Scenic down along river to hard right corner, which takes you back to Scenic. Left on Scenic at stop sign. Scenic around to Pecos. Left on Pecos up to 35th. Left on 35th over to Mt. Bonnell Road. Right on Mt. Bonnell Road up, up, up to parking lot and base of steps. After the water stop, continue on Mt. Bonnell Road to first right hand street after the parking lot, which is Mt. Bonnell Drive. Right on MB Drive, across Balcones, to hard left corner onto Edgemont. Left on Edgemont to its end, and take the hard left turn up Glen Rose up to Balcones. Right on Balcones along greenbelt park past Hancock, and on to Allendale/2222 (Starbucks is on that corner), where you will turn around. Balcones back to Madrona. Left on Madrona back to Edgemont. Take a right on Edgemont back to Mount Bonnell Drive. Take a right on MB Drive back across Balcones to MB Road, left on MB Road back to water stop. Down MB Road back to 35th, over to Pecos, down Pecos to Scenic. Scenic down and around to hard right turn at bottom of Scenic on the water level. Up Scenic to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson back to Rockmoor, down to Cherry, to Scenic (name change) to LA Blvd. To Mopac to northside trail and back to HQ.

16 Miles (P2P version): Your map is here. Start at Randall’s parking lot at Braker and Jollyville. Jollyville south to Great Hills Trail. Left on Great Hills over to Stonelake. RIGHT on Stonelake down to Capital of Texas Highway. Right on Cap Texas Hwy, carefully crossing over Mopac on the walkway to access road, left over to church, right up to Jollyville again. Left on Jollyville to Mesa. Right on Mesa down to Far West. Left on Far West down to Balcones (Mopac access road). Right on Balcones. Balcones down, across 2222/Northland, to Hancock. Left on Hancock, to Bull Creek. Bull Creek down to Jackson, veer right on Jackson down to 35th. Right on 35th up and over Mopac all the way to Pecos. LEFT on Pecos to Scenic. Scenic down and around to hard right turn at bottom of Scenic on the water level. Up Scenic to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson back to Rockmoor, down to Cherry, to Scenic (name change) to LA Blvd. To Mopac, crossing to southside trail. Southside trail back to Pfluger footbridge, across LB Lake, and a victory lap of the dog park in front of the apartments to get to your 16 mile final number.

18 Miles: Your map is here. Start up at Big Lots parking lot at Spicewood Springs @ 183. Jollyville down to Great Hills Trail. Left on Great Hills over to Stonelake. RIGHT on Stonelake down to Capital of Texas Highway. Right on Cap Texas Hwy, carefully crossing over Mopac on the walkway to access road, left over to church, right up to Jollyville again. Left on Jollyville to Mesa. Right on Mesa down to Far West. Left on Far West down to Balcones (Mopac access road). Right on Balcones. Balcones down, across 2222/Northland, to Hancock. Left on Hancock, to Bull Creek. Bull Creek down to Jackson, veer right on Jackson down to 35th. Right on 35th up and over Mopac all the way to Pecos. LEFT on Pecos to Scenic. Scenic down and around to hard right turn at bottom of Scenic on the water level. Up Scenic to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson back to Rockmoor, down to Cherry, to Scenic (name change) to LA Blvd. To Mopac, and northside trail. NS trail back to HQ, and a victory lap of the dog park in front of the apartments to get to your 18 mile final number.

20 Miles: Your map is here. Chicago folks will probably prefer this one. This begins with an extra 2 mile loop at the top. Start up at Big Lots parking lot at Spicewood Springs @ 183. Jollyville down past the Post Office on the right, and take a right on Q Ranch Road. Take an immediate right off of Q Ranch onto Woodcrest Drive. Woodcrest will veer right and change names to Chelsea Moor. Chelsea Moor will merge into Charing Cross Road, and veer right on Charing Cross to Barrington Way. Right on Barrington Way back to Jollyville, and now rejoin Jollyville down to Great Hills Trail. Left on Great Hills over to Stonelake. RIGHT on Stonelake down to Capital of Texas Highway. Right on Cap Texas Hwy, carefully crossing over Mopac on the walkway to access road, left over to church, right up to Jollyville again. Left on Jollyville to Mesa. Right on Mesa down to Far West. Left on Far West down to Balcones (Mopac access road). Right on Balcones. Balcones down, across 2222/Northland, to Hancock. Left on Hancock, to Bull Creek. Bull Creek down to Jackson, veer right on Jackson down to 35th. Right on 35th up and over Mopac all the way to Pecos. LEFT on Pecos to Scenic. Scenic down and around to hard right turn at bottom of Scenic on the water level. Up Scenic to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson back to Rockmoor, down to Cherry, to Scenic (name change) to LA Blvd. To Mopac, northside trail, and back to HQ.

Scenic down and around to hard right turn at bottom of Scenic on the water level. Up Scenic to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson back to Rockmoor, down to Cherry, to Scenic (name change) to LA Blvd. To Mopac, crossing to southside trail. Southside trail over to First St bridge, crossing to Northside trail and back to HQ.

Left on Jollyville to Mesa. Right on Mesa down to Far West. Left on Far West down to Balcones (Mopac access road). Right on Balcones. Balcones down, across 2222/Northland, to Hancock. Left on Hancock, to Bull Creek. Bull Creek down to Jackson, veer right on Jackson down to 35th. Right on 35th up and over Mopac all the way to Pecos. LEFT on Pecos to Scenic. Scenic down and around to hard right turn at bottom of Scenic on the water level. Up Scenic to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson back to Rockmoor, down to Cherry, to Scenic (name change) to LA Blvd. To Mopac, crossing to southside trail. Cross footbridge at Barton Creek, and take a RIGHT to go under Barton Springs Road south. Trail along side of Barton Springs, exiting out to Barton Hills Drive. BH Drive up to Spring Creek. Turn around at Spring Creek, and return BH Drive to Barton Springs park, under Barton Springs Road to southside trail again. Follow trail around to Pfluger footbridge, up and over to HQ.

Scenic down and around to hard right turn at bottom of Scenic on the water level. Up Scenic to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson back to Rockmoor, down to Cherry, to Scenic (name change) to LA Blvd. To Mopac, crossing to southside trail. Cross footbridge at Barton Creek, and take a RIGHT to go under Barton Springs Road south. Trail along side of Barton Springs, exiting out to Barton Hills Drive. BH Drive out to church at corner of Barton Skyway. Turn around at Barton Skyway, and return BH Drive to Barton Springs park, under Barton Springs Road to southside trail again. Follow trail around to Pfluger footbridge, up and over to HQ. You know what to do to get to 22 on the nose.

  • Sept. 26 (Cape Cod Half): Taper Madness Week 2. 6-10 miles with last 4 @ HMGP. Use legit HM goal pace for last 4 miles, after a relaxed start.

  • Oct 2 (St. George Mini): Taper Madness Begins. 8-13 miles with last 5 @ HMGP. Use legit HM goal pace for last 5 miles, after a relaxed start.
