Our water stops are coordinated to support the routes and start times listed. If you modify the routes or start times, please take water to cover yourselves in case the water is unavailable.


THE ROUTES

3 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to northside trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. Turn around there, and return to HQ, retracing your steps all the way Veterans to Mopac to north side trail and to GZLs HQ.

4 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to north side trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Exposition. Turn around there, and return to HQ, retracing your steps all the way LABlvd to Mopac to north side trail and to GZLs HQ.

5 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to north side trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to water stop at Lufkin (across from Golf Course). Turn around there, and return to HQ, retracing your steps all the way LABlvd to Mopac to north side trail and to GZLs HQ.

7 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to north side trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Continue Scenic to Cherry. Wind around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Stevenson. Turn around at that corner (Stevenson @ Rockmoor), and return Rockmoor to Cherry to Scenic, etc., retracing your steps all the way to north side trail and to GZLs HQ.

8 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to north side trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Continue Scenic to Cherry. Wind around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson over to Scenic. Right on Scenic down along river to the big house on the right that has the large open lot next to it, about half way down. Turn around there, and return Scenic, etc., retracing your steps all the way to north side trail and to GZLs HQ.

10 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to north side trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Continue Scenic to Cherry. Wind around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson over to Scenic. Right on Scenic down along river to hard right corner, which takes you back to Scenic. Left on Scenic at stop sign. Scenic around to Pecos. Left on Pecos up to 35th.  Turn around there, and return Pecos to Scenic, etc., retracing your steps all the way to north side trail and to GZLs HQ.

12 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to northside trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Continue Scenic to Cherry. Wind around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson over to Scenic. Right on Scenic down along river to hard right corner, which takes you back to Scenic. Left on Scenic at stop sign. Scenic around to Pecos. Left on Pecos up to 35th. Left on 35th over to Mt. Bonnell Road. Right on Mt. Bonnell Road up, up, up to parking lot and base of steps. Turn around there, and return down Mt. Bonnell Rd. to 35th to Pecos to Scenic, etc., retracing your steps all the way to northside trail and to GZLs HQ. 

14 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to north side trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Continue Scenic to Cherry. Wind around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson over to Scenic. Right on Scenic down along river to hard right corner, which takes you back to Scenic. Left on Scenic at stop sign. Scenic around to Pecos. Left on Pecos up to 35th. Left on 35th over to Mt. Bonnell Road. Right on Mt. Bonnell Road up, up, up to parking lot and base of steps. Turn around there, and return down Mt. Bonnell Rd. to 35th to Pecos to Scenic, etc., retracing your steps all the way to Mopac. You will diverge there, and will take south side trail over to the First St. bridge, where you will cross over LB Lake to north side trail and to GZLs HQ.

16 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to north side trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Continue Scenic to Cherry. Wind around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson over to Scenic. Right on Scenic down along river to hard right corner, which takes you back to Scenic. Left on Scenic at stop sign. Scenic around to Pecos. Left on Pecos up to 35th. Left on 35th over to Mt. Bonnell Road. Right on Mt. Bonnell Road up, up, up to parking lot and base of steps. Continue forward to Mt. Bonnell Drive, which is the first right hand turn after the water stop. Right on Mt. Bonnell Drive across Balcones and through to Edgemont. Left on Edgemont to the hard left turn onto Glen Rose. Glen Rose up to Balcones. Turn around at Balcones, and return to Edgemont, Mt. Bonnell Drive, and Mt. Bonnell Road back to the water stop. From there, back down Mt Bonnell Road to 35th, over to Pecos. Right on Pecos to Scenic. Right on Scenic back to hard right turn and Scenic along river to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson over to Rockmoor. Right on Rockmoor over to Cherry. Right on Cherry around to Scenic, and finally LA Blvd. LA Blvd back to Mopac. Cross to south side trail at Mopac. SS trail over to First St. bridge. Up and across LB Lake on First St. bridge, to north side trail and back to HQ.

18 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to north side trail directly towards Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Continue Scenic to Cherry. Wind around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson over to Scenic. Right on Scenic down along river to hard right corner, which takes you back to Scenic. Left on Scenic at stop sign. Scenic around to Pecos. Left on Pecos up to 35th. Left on 35th over to Mt. Bonnell Road. Right on Mt. Bonnell Road up, up, up to parking lot and base of steps. Continue forward to Mt. Bonnell Drive, which is the first right hand turn after the water stop. Right on Mt. Bonnell Drive across Balcones and through to Edgemont. Left on Edgemont to the hard left turn onto Glen Rose. Glen Rose up to Balcones. Turn around at Balcones, and return to Edgemont, Mt. Bonnell Drive, and Mt. Bonnell Road back to the water stop. From there, back down Mt Bonnell Road to 35th, over to Pecos. Right on Pecos to Scenic. Right on Scenic back to hard right turn and Scenic along river to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson over to Rockmoor. Right on Rockmoor over to Cherry. Right on Cherry around to Scenic, and finally LA Blvd. LA Blvd back to Mopac. Cross to southside trail at Mopac. SS trail over to trailhead on Boardwalk after the Crab place on your right. Turn around there, and return trail and boardwalk to Congress. Up and across LB Lake on Congress bridge, to north side trail and back to HQ.


THE MARATHONS

Feb 16 (Austin): Taper madness week 3. 8-12 miles, last 4 @ MGP. Start relaxed, and then for last 4 miles, lock into actual Marathon Goal Pace.

March 1 (Cowtown, Napa): Taper madness begins. 14-18 miles, last 8 @ MGP. Start relaxed, and then for last 8 miles, lock into actual Marathon Goal Pace.

April 20 (Boston): 16-18 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 18 mile max.

April 25-26 (Eugene/London/Big Sur/Nashville): 10-14 miles recovery long run. Back off a bit from last week.

May 3 (Toronto): 12-16 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 16 mile max.

May 17 (Cleveland): 10-14 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 14 mile max.

May 24 (Mountains to Beach/Vermont): 10-12 miles recovery long run. Back off a bit from last week.

HALF MARATHONS, BEGINNER GAZELLES, and EVERYBODY ELSE:

Beginner Gazelles! This week, 3-7 miles. Choose a distance amongst your pace pals, up to that 7 mile max. Start time 5:45am.

Everybody Else (GZLs peeps): 7-12 miles. If you went 12 last week, maybe cut back to 7-10 this week. For anything else, add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 12 mile mark. Start time 5:45am.

Feb 16 (Austin Half): Taper Madness week 3. 4-8 miles, with last 3 @ HMGP. Start relaxed, and then for last 3 miles, lock into actual Half Marathon Goal Pace.

Mar 1 (Napa Half, Publix Half): Taper Madness begins. 8-13 miles, with last 5 @ HMGP. Start relaxed, and then for last 5 miles, lock into actual Half Marathon Goal Pace.

Mar 15 (NYC Half): 5-8 miles recovery run. Back off from last week a bit.

April 5 (Cap 10K): 7-10 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 10 mile max.

April 19 (Vienna): 8-10 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 10 mile max.

April 25-26 (Nashville/Eugene Half): 6-10 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 10 mile max.

May 3 (Toronto Half): 5-8 miles recovery run. Back off from last week a bit.
