Please do not run a long run on Saturday and the 3M Half Marathon on Sunday. You can build your long run out of the Half Marathon if you want to race (eg: Easy 3 mile warmup, race 13.1, then 2 miles cool down for an 18 mile workout day).

A short right down W. Lynn to W. 13th Street. Left on W. 13th over to Windsor/Blanco. Right on Windsor/Blanco down to 12th St. Left on 12th down to West Ave. RIGHT on West Ave. down to Seaholm area. Enter Capitol grounds on Congress, and cruise around the Capitol back to exit onto S. Congress. Down Congress to 3rd St. RIGHT on 3rd Street over past Trader Joe’s and back to GZLs HQ via Electric Blvd.

Route measures 20.4 miles, so you can ease up at the old power station on the river if you’d like 20 on the nose.

SS trail and boardwalk back to Pfluger footbridge, and across footbridge back to HQ. NOTE: This route measures 21.5 miles, so feel free to add a victory lap of the dog park in front of the two apartment towers at HQ.
THE MARATHONS
Feb 9th 2020 (Galveston): Taper madness begins. 14-18 miles, last 8 @ MGP. Start relaxed, and then for last 8 miles, lock into actual Marathon Goal Pace. Check with Coach or the pace computer on the website to determine MGP.
Feb 16th 2020 (Austin): 20-22 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 22 mile max.
March 1, 2020 (Cowtown, Napa): 18-20 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 20 mile max.
April 20, 2020 (Boston): 10-14 miles recovery long run. Back off a bit from last week.
April 26, 2020 (Eugene/London): 10-14 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 14 mile max.
May 3 (Toronto): 10-12 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 12 mile max.
BEGINNER GAZELLES, HALF MARATHONERS, and EVERYBODY ELSE:
Beginner Gazelles! This week, 3-7 miles. Choose a distance amongst your pace pals, up to that 7 mile max. Start time 5:45am.
Everybody Else (GZLs peeps): 7-12 miles. If you went 12 last week, maybe cut back to 7-10 this week. For anything else, add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 12 mile mark. Start time 5:45am.
