Our water stops are coordinated to support the routes and start times listed. If you modify the routes or start times, please take water to cover yourselves in case the water is unavailable.


THE ROUTES

3 Miles: Your map is here. This is a clockwise Pfluger footbridge to Mopac trail loop.

4 Miles: Your map is here. This is a clockwise First St. bridge to Mopac trail loop.

5 Miles: Your map is here. This is a clockwise Congress bridge to Mopac trail loop.

7.5 Miles: Your map is here. GZLs HQ to north side trail, east out to Longhorn Dam. Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Pfluger bridge. Cross over LB Lake at Pfluger bridge, back to GZLs HQ.

8.2 Miles: Your map is here. GZLs HQ to north side trail, east out to Longhorn Dam. Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Pfluger bridge. Cross over LB Lake at Pfluger bridge, and exit to north side trail. Take trail towards Mopac, and exit trail at metal A frame bathroom sculptures, crossing under Cesar Chavez on trail path to north side of Cesar Chavez and bike path. Take bike path back to GZLs HQ.

10 Miles: Your map is here. Longhorn Dam to Mopac trail loop. GZLs HQ to north side trail, east out to Longhorn Dam. Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Mopac, up and across to north side trail and back to GZLs HQ.

12 Miles: Your map is here. Longhorn Dam to Mopac trail loop plus an out-and-back on LA Blvd. GZLs HQ to north side trail, east out to Longhorn Dam. Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Mopac, up and across to Veterans to Lake Austin Blvd. LA Blvd out to Exposition. Turn around at Exposition, and return LA Blvd, and then back to Mopac, north side trail and back to GZLs HQ.

14 Miles: Your map is here. Longhorn Dam to Mopac trail loop plus Scenic and Exposition. GZLs HQ to north side trail, east out to Longhorn Dam. Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Mopac, up and across to Veterans to Lake Austin Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Right on Enfield back over to Exposition. Right on Expo down to LA Blvd back to Mopac. From Mopac, stay on northside trail and back to HQ.

16 Miles: Your map is here. Longhorn Dam to Mopac trail loop plus Scenic and Exposition. GZLs HQ to north side trail, east out to Longhorn Dam. Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Mopac, up and across to Veterans to Lake Austin Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Right on Enfield back over to Exposition. Left on Expo up to Westover. Turn around at Westover, and return down Expo to LA Blvd back to Mopac. From Mopac, stay on northside trail and back to HQ.

18 Miles: Your map is here. Longhorn Dam to Mopac trail loop plus Scenic and Exposition. GZLs HQ to north side trail, east out to Longhorn Dam. Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Mopac, up and across to Veterans to Lake Austin Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Right on Enfield back over to Exposition. Left on Expo up to Westover. Turn around at Westover, and return down Expo to Enfield. Right on Enfield back over to LA Blvd, then LA Blvd back to Mopac. From Mopac, cross to southside trail, over to Pfluger footbridge. Cross over LB Lake at Pfluger bridge and back to HQ.

20 Miles: Your map is here. Longhorn Dam to Mopac trail loop plus Scenic and Exposition. GZLs HQ to north side trail, east out to Longhorn Dam. Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Mopac, up and across to Veterans to Lake Austin Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's). Right on Enfield back over to Exposition. Left on Expo up to Westover. Turn around at Westover, and return down Expo to Enfield. Right on Enfield back over to LA Blvd, then LA Blvd back to Mopac. From Mopac, cross to southside trail, over to Congress Ave. bridge. Curl up and over LB Lake on Congress bridge, to northside trail behind hotel, and stay on northside trail and back to HQ.


THE MARATHONS

Dec 8th (CIM, BCS, San Antonio, Honolulu): Taper madness week 3. 8-12 miles, with last 4 @ MGP. Use honest MGP, but start easy, and finish at race pace. Your hard work is done. Wrap yourselves in bubble wrap for protection at this point.

Dec 15th (Dallas White Rock): Taper madness week 2. 12-16 miles, with last 6 @ MGP. Use honest MGP, but start easy, and finish at race pace.

Jan 12th 2020 (Disney Dopey Challenge): 18-20 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 20 mile max.

Jan 18th 2020 (REVEL Hawaii, Houston): 12-14 miles recovery long run. Back off a bit from last week.

Feb 16th 2020 (Austin): 10-14 miles recovery long run. Back off a bit from last week.

March 1, 2020 (Cowtown, Napa): 10-12 miles recovery long run. Back off a bit from last week.


BEGINNER GAZELLES, HALF MARATHONERS, and EVERYBODY ELSE:

Beginner Gazelles!  This week, 3-7 miles. Choose a distance amongst your pace pals, up to that 7 mile max.

Everybody Else (GZLs peeps): 7-12 miles. If you went 12 last week, maybe cut back to 7-10 this week. For anything else, add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 12 mile mark.

Dec 7th (St. Jude’s Half, San Antonio Half): Taper madness week 3. 4-8 miles, with last 3 miles @ HMGP.

Dec 15th (Dallas Half, Decker Half): Taper madness week 2. 6-10 miles, with last 3-4 miles @ HMGP.

Jan 19th, 2020 (3M Half, Houston Half): 5-8 miles. Recovery long run. Back off from last week a bit.

Feb 16th 2020 (Austin Half): 6-10 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 10 mile max.

Mar 1st 2020 (Napa, Publix Half): 6-10 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 10 mile max.
