Choose your own time between 5:30-6:30am. We are NOT meeting as a group at The Loop, and they will not be open early as usual, so plan your bathroom strategy accordingly. GZLs HQ will remain closed before and after the runs, although the Loop does open on 10:00am Saturdays.
THE ROUTES
Water stations pretty much normal this week. Hand sanitizer will be affixed to the water barrels to do a quick clean of your water button pushing hands. Feel free to refill your own water bottles as needed. You may want to carry your own water still, depending on any gaps with the water stations, concerns about the water fountains on the trail or boardwalk, or your own ad libbing on route variations.

Right on Burnett to Longhorn Blvd, the entrance to the industrial park on your right. Right onto Longhorn all the way to its end, and take a left on Neils Thompson Dr, over to where you will see a striped barrier. You will enter a nice little concrete path there that goes along the railroad tracks, and empties onto the south side of 183. From there, proceed to Shoal Creek. Right on Shoal Creek down to Foster. Right on Foster to Great Northern. Down Great Northern to Bullard, which is the street at the bottom of the baseball complex. Take Bullard around to White Rock. Left on White Rock to Shoal Creek. Right on Shoal Creek down to Hancock. Left on Hancock, and veer left off Hancock at Fonda San Miquel onto North Loop. Cross town on North Loop across Lamar to Guadalupe. Right on Guadalupe down to 51st (UT Intramural Fields). Left on 51st up and over to Duval. Right on Duval. Duval down to San Jacinto, merge and go through UT Campus on San Jacinto. IF YOUR RACE IS CANCELED, KEEP YOUR FITNESS BY ALTERNATING A LONGER LONG RUN AND A RECOVERY LONG RUN ON SUCCESSIVE WEEKENDS, DEPENDING ON YOUR CURRENT TRAINING LEVELS. September 5th (Patagonia Marathon): Taper madness Week 3. 8-12 miles, with last 4 @ MGP. Please use legit MGP, and not a dream state pace. Start super relaxed, and finish in style.
September 13th (Boston Virtual Marathon): Taper madness Week 2. 14-16 miles, with last 6 @ MGP. Please use legit MGP, and not a dream state pace. Start super relaxed, and finish in style.
October 25th (Marine Corps): 16-20 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 20 mile max.
December 6th (CIM): 10-14 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 14 mile max.
December 6th (San Antonio Half): 5-8 mile recovery run. Back off from last week.
