START TIMES

Choose your own time between 5:30-6:30am. We are not meeting as a group inside beforehand so plan your bathroom strategy accordingly. GZLs HQ will remain closed before and after the runs, but The Loop may be able to accommodate you immediately post-run and after 10:00am. Be mindful of your post-run routine so you don’t block residents at HQ area after your run.

THE MAP

Water stations are normal this week. Hand sanitizer will be affixed to the water barrels to do a quick clean of your water button pushing hands. Feel free to refill your own water bottles as needed. You may want to carry your own water still, depending on any of your own ad libbing on route variations.

THE ROUTES

3.18 Miles: Your map is here. Start at GZLs HQ. Head to bike trail north side of Cesar Chavez and curl under Cesar Chavez, then around Austin High track to Mopac. Continue past the water stop up Veterans to LA Blvd. Turn around at LA Blvd, and return to HQ, retracing your steps all the way Veterans to bike trail to GZLs HQ.

4 Miles: Your map is here. Head to bike trail north side of Cesar Chavez and curl under Cesar Chavez, then around Austin High track to Mopac. Continue past the water stop up Veterans to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Exposition. Turn around at Exposition and return LA Blvd back to Mopac, to Veterans around Austin High track, under Cesar Chavez, and bike path back to Seaholm Drive (at far end of condo dog park), then left on Seaholm Drive up to Electric Blvd and back to HQ

5.3 Miles: Your map is here. Head to bike trail north side of Cesar Chavez and curl under Cesar Chavez, then around Austin High track to Mopac. Continue past the water stop up Veterans to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Exposition. Right on Expo up to Enfield. Turn around at Enfield, and return on Exposition down to LA Blvd, then left on LA Blvd back to Mopac, to Veterans around Austin High track, under Cesar Chavez, and bike path back to Seaholm Drive (at far end of condo dog park), then left on Seaholm Drive up to Electric Blvd and back to HQ.

6 Miles: Your map is here. Head to bike trail north side of Cesar Chavez and curl under Cesar Chavez, then around Austin High track to Mopac. Continue past the water stop up Veterans to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Exposition. Right on Expo up to Enfield. Left on Enfield over to Pecos. Turn around at Pecos, and return on Enfield. Enfield back to Exposition, down to LA Blvd, then left on LA Blvd back to Mopac, to Veterans around Austin High track, under Cesar Chavez, and bike path back to Seaholm Drive (at far end of condo dog park), then left on Seaholm Drive up to Electric Blvd and back to HQ.

7 Miles: Your map is here. Head to bike trail north side of Cesar Chavez and curl under Cesar Chavez, then around Austin High track to Mopac. Continue past the water stop up Veterans to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Exposition. Right on Expo up to Enfield. Left on Enfield over to Pecos. Right on Pecos up to Clearview Drive. Turn around at Clearview, and return Pecos to Enfield. Right on Enfield over to LA Blvd, then left on LA Blvd back to Mopac, to Veterans around Austin High track, under Cesar Chavez, and bike path back to Seaholm Drive (at far end of condo dog park), then left on Seaholm Drive up to Electric Blvd and back to HQ.

8.1 Miles: Your map is here. Head to bike trail north side of Cesar Chavez and curl under Cesar Chavez, then around Austin High track to Mopac. Continue past the water stop up Veterans to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Exposition. Right on Expo up to Enfield. Left on Enfield over to Pecos. Right on Pecos up to Greenlee Drive. Turn around at Greenlee, and return Pecos to Enfield. Right on Enfield over to LA Blvd, then left on LA Blvd back to Mopac, to Veterans around Austin High track, under Cesar Chavez, and bike path back to Seaholm Drive (at far end of condo dog park), then left on Seaholm Drive up to Electric Blvd and back to HQ.

10 Miles: Your map is here. Head to bike trail north side of Cesar Chavez and curl under Cesar Chavez, then around Austin High track to Mopac. Continue past the water stop up Veterans to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Exposition. Right on Expo up to Enfield. Left on Enfield over to Pecos. Right on Pecos up to 35th Street (old dry cleaners). Turn around at 35th, and return Pecos to Scenic. Right on Scenic. Wind around on Scenic until the hard right turn near the water level. Scenic up in front of the nice houses, then Left on Stevenson, right on Rockmoor, right on Cherry Lane, then merge to LA Blvd back to Mopac, to Veterans around Austin High track, under Cesar Chavez, and bike path back to Seaholm Drive (at far end of condo dog park), then left on Seaholm Drive up to Electric Blvd and back to HQ.

12 Miles: Your map is here. Head to bike trail north side of Cesar Chavez and curl under Cesar Chavez, then around Austin High track to Mopac. Continue past the water stop up Veterans to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Exposition. Right on Expo up to Enfield. Left on Enfield over to Pecos. Right on Pecos up to 35th Street (old dry cleaners). Left on 35th over to Mt. Bonnell Road. Right on Mt. Bonnell Road up, up, up to parking lot and base of steps. Continue past steps and head to Mt. Bonnell Drive, where you will stop and turn around. Turn around there, and return Mt. Bonnell Rd. back down the mountain to 35th to Pecos. RIGHT on Pecos down to Scenic. Right on Scenic. Wind around on Scenic until the hard right turn near the water level. Scenic up in front of the nice houses, then Left on Stevenson, right on Rockmoor, right on Cherry Lane, then merge to LA Blvd back to Mopac, to Veterans around Austin High track, under Cesar Chavez, and bike path back to HQ.

14 Miles: Your map is here. Head to bike trail north side of Cesar Chavez and curl under Cesar Chavez, then around Austin High track to Mopac. Continue past the water stop up Veterans to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Exposition. Right on Expo up to Enfield. Left on Enfield over to Pecos. Right on Pecos up to 35th Street (old dry cleaners). Left on 35th over to Mt. Bonnell Road. Right on Mt. Bonnell Road up, up, up to parking lot and base of steps. Continue past steps and head to Mt. Bonnell Drive, which is the first right hand street after the top of Bonnell. Mt. Bonnell Drive to Edgemont (MBD deadends into Edgemont). Left on Edgemont to a 90 degree left hand corner at Glen Rose Drive, where you will stop and turn around. Turn around there, and return Edgemont to Mt. Bonnell Drive back up to Mt. Bonnell Rd. Left on MBRoad and back down the mountain to 35th to Pecos. RIGHT on Pecos down to Scenic. Right on Scenic. Wind around on Scenic until the hard right turn near the water level. Scenic up in front of the nice houses, then Left on Stevenson, right on Rockmoor, right on Cherry Lane, then merge to LA Blvd back to Mopac, to Veterans around Austin High track, under Cesar Chavez, and bike path back to HQ.

RACE SPECIFIC WORKOUTS

HERE ARE SUGGESTED LONG RUN WORKOUTS FOR RACES THAT ARE IN THE FUTURE, AND MAY STILL BE SCHEDULED. IF YOUR RACE IS CANCELED, KEEP YOUR FITNESS BY ALTERNATING A LONGER LONG RUN AND A RECOVERY LONG RUN ON SUCCESSIVE WEEKENDS, DEPENDING ON YOUR CURRENT TRAINING LEVELS. (Ex: Alternate a 10-12 mile run with an 8-10 mile run).

November 8 (RFTW): 3-4 miles. Ease back if you are tapering for your virtual RFTW.

December 6 (CIM): 12-14 mile recovery run. Back off from last week.

December 6 (San Antonio Half): 5-8 miles recovery long run. Back off from last week.

December 13 (Decker Half): 10-12 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 12 mile max.

December 13 (BCS Marathon): 18-20 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 20 mile max. NOTE: You will have to add some miles of your choosing to bulk up the 14 miler listed above to 18-20 range.

January 17, 2021 (3M Half Marathon and Houston Half Marathon): 6-10 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 10 mile max.

January 17, 2021 (Houston Marathon): 10-14 mile recovery run. Back off from last week.

February 14, 2021 (Austin Marathon): 10-12 mile recovery run. Back off from last week.

February 14, 2021 (Austin Half Marathon): 6-10 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 10 mile max.

1. Mopac water fountains
2. Memphis @ Lake Austin Blvd (south side opposite golf course)
3. Pecos @ Scenic (on Scenic just before corner)
4. Enfield @ Exposition (SW corner by baseball sign)
