Let's hit the pool this weekend!
Due to numerous activities around the The Loop this Saturday, we will start and finish at the first parking lot off of Azie Morton Road across from Umlauf Sculpture Gardens. Park where you can but we will meet in the first (older) parking area closest to Barton Springs Road.
Bring a towel so you can jump in the pool after your run. Entry to the pool is FREE until 8:00 a.m. $5 fee after 8:00 a.m.

THE ROUTES
3 Miles: Your map is here. Head out on Azie Morton Rd. and cross Barton Springs Rd. to southside trail, and then go right towards First St. Bridge. Cross LB Lake on First St. bridge to northside trail. Left on northside trail over to Pfluger footbridge. Cross up and over LB Lake on Pfluger footbridge to southside trail. Right on southside trail over to and under Barton Springs Road, following trail along Barton Creek up to and through park to your car.
5 Miles: Your map is here. Head out on Azie Morton Rd. and cross Barton Springs Rd. to southside trail, and then go right towards First St. Bridge. Cross LB Lake on First St. bridge to northside trail. Left on northside trail over to Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. Turn around at LA Blvd, and return to Mopac. You will diverge there, and will take southside trail over across the footbridge over Barton Creek, then take a right, and veer under Barton Springs Road, following trail along Barton Creek up to and through park to your car
7 Miles: Your map is here. Head out on Azie Morton Rd. and cross Barton Springs Rd. to southside trail, and then go right towards First St. Bridge. Cross LB Lake on First St. bridge to northside trail. Left on northside trail over to Mopac. Veterans up to LA Blvd. LA Blvd out to Lufkin, across from the golf course. Turn around at Lufkin. If you want a little more distance, run on up to the water stop at Memphis St. Return LA Blvd to Mopac. You will diverge there, and will take southside trail over across the footbridge over Barton Creek, then take a right, and veer under Barton Springs Road, following trail along Barton Creek up to and through park to your car

Turn around there at the big house, and return Scenic to Stephenson, etc., retracing your steps all the way to Mopac. You will diverge there, and will take southside trail over across the footbridge over Barton Creek, then take a right, and veer under Barton Springs Road, following trail along Barton Creek up to and through park to your car

Bonnell Road to the first right hand turn, which will be Mt. Bonnell Drive. Right on MB Drive, across Balcones, to Edgemont. Left on Edgemont to the hard left hand turn up to Balcones again. Turn around there, and return to Edgemont, to Mt. Bonnell Drive, to Mt. Bonnell Rd. to 35th to Pecos to Scenic, etc., retracing your steps all the way to Mopac. Stay on northside trail to First St. bridge, crossing LB Lake on First St. bridge to southside trail. Right on SS trail back over to Barton Springs Road, and veer under Barton Springs Road, following trail along Barton Creek up to and through park to your car.

Left on Rockmoor up to Stevenson. Left on Stevenson over to Scenic. Scenic down along river to hard right corner, which takes you back to Scenic. Left on Scenic at stop sign. Scenic around to Pecos. Left on Pecos up to 35th. Left on 35th over to Mt. Bonnell Road. Right on Mt. Bonnell Road up, up, up to parking lot and base of steps. After the water stop, continue on Mt. Bonnell Road to the first right hand turn, which will be Mt. Bonnell Drive. Right on MB Drive, across Balcones, to Edgemont. Left on Edgemont to the hard left hand turn up to Balcones again. Turn around there, and return to Edgemont, to Mt. Bonnell Drive, to Mt. Bonnell Rd. to 35th to Pecos to Scenic, etc., retracing your steps all the way to Mopac. Stay on northside trail to CONGRESS bridge, crossing LB Lake on Congress bridge to southside trail. Right on SS trail back over to Barton Springs Road, and veer under Barton Springs Road, following trail along Barton Creek up to Barton Hills Drive, left over to Azie Morton, north again to parking lot at softball field, left again to trail, and wind back to south end parking lot and through park to your car. You are doing a victory lap of the park at the end of the run

Sept 8th (Erie) - Last loooonnnggg run. 20-22 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 222 mile max.
Sept 14th-15th (Big Cottonwood, Tunnel Light Marathon): 12-14 miles recovery long run. Back off a bit from last week.
Sept 22nd (Buenos Aires): 18-20 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 20 mile max.
Sept 29th (Berlin): 12-14 miles recovery long run. Back off a bit from last week.
Oct 5th (St. George): 16-20 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 20 mile max.
Oct 12th-13th (Hudson River, Chicago): 12-14 miles recovery long run. Back off a bit from last week.
Oct 20th (Detroit): 14-18 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 18 mile max.
Oct 27th (MCM / M2M Marathons): 10-14 miles recovery long run. Back off a bit from last week.
Nov 2-3 (Revel Mt., NYC): 12-16 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 16 mile max.
Nov 10th (Outer Banks): 10-12 miles recovery long run. Back off a bit from last week.
Nov 24th (Phillie): 10-12 miles recovery long run. Back off a bit from last week.
Dec 8th (CIM, BCS, San Antonio, Honolulu): 9-12 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 12 mile max.
Dec 15th (Dallas White Rock): 8-12 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 12 mile max.
BEGINNER GAZELLES, HALF MARATHONERS, and EVERYBODY ELSE:
Beginner Gazelles: 3-7 miles.
Everybody Else (GZLs peeps): 7-12 miles. If you went 12 last week, maybe cut back to 7-10 this week. For anything else, add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 12 mile mark.
Aug 17th (SeaWheeze Half): Taper madness week 3. 4-8 miles, with last 3 @ HMGP. Start easy, and then get into race pace for last 3 miles.
Sept 8th (Columbia Media Marathon): 10-14 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer run, up to that 14 mile max.
Oct 13th (30a Half): 5-8 miles recovery long run. Back off from last week.
