Saturday Long Run - UT Duval, North Loop out and back

START TIMES:

10-24 milers leaving Gazelles HQ at 5:45am.

5-8 milers and beginners 5:45am.

As always, if you start way before the scheduled start times, please take water to cover yourselves for that first water stop (or two) in case you're ahead of the logistical team. Going out and back on the Congress to UT to Duval sort of course.

3 Miles: Your map is here. This is a clockwise Pfluger footbridge to Mopac trail loop.

4 Miles: Your map is here. This is a clockwise First St. bridge to Mopac trail loop.

5 Miles: Your map is here. This is a clockwise Congress bridge to Mopac trail loop.

7 Miles: Your map is here. GZLs HQ over to Trader Joe's, up to 3rd Street, and over to Congress. Left on Congress up to 11th. Right on 11th up to San Jacinto. Left on San Jacinto to and through UT campus. San Jacinto to Duval, and veer right on Duval. Duval up to 38th. Turn around at 38th/Duval. From there, retrace your steps back home (Duval, UT, San Jacinto, 11th, to Congress). Congress down to 3rd Street. Right on 3rd Street and over to Trader Joe's and then GZLs HQ.

8 Miles: Your map is here. GZLs HQ over to Trader Joe's, up to 3rd Street, and over to Congress. Left on Congress up to 11th. Right on 11th up to San Jacinto. Left on San Jacinto to and through UT campus. San Jacinto to Duval, and veer right on Duval. Duval up to 45th. Turn around at 45th/Duval. From there, retrace your steps back home (Duval, UT, San Jacinto, 11th, to Congress). Congress down to 3rd Street. Right on 3rd Street and over to Trader Joe's and then GZLs HQ.

10 Miles: Your map is here. GZLs HQ over to Trader Joe's, up to 3rd Street, and over to Congress. Left on Congress up to 11th. Right on 11th up to San Jacinto. Left on San Jacinto to and through UT campus. San Jacinto to Duval, and veer right on Duval. Duval up to 51st. Left on 51st over to Guadalupe (UT Intramural fields), and then left down Guadalupe to 46th Street. Left on 46th over to Avenue H. Right on Avenue H down to 45th. Left on 45th over to Duval. From there, retrace your steps back home (Duval, UT, San Jacinto, 11th, to Congress). Congress down to 3rd Street. Right on 3rd Street and over to Trader Joe's and then GZLs HQ.

12.5 Miles: Your map is here. GZLs HQ over to Trader Joe's, up to 3rd Street, and over to Congress. Left on Congress up to 11th. Right on 11th up to San Jacinto. Left on San Jacinto to and through UT campus. San Jacinto to Duval, and veer right on Duval. Duval up to 51st. Left on 51st over to Guadalupe (UT Intramural fields), and right on Guadalupe up to North Loop. Left on North Loop over to Woodrow. Right on Woodrow up to Houston and the water stop. Turn around at Houston, and retrace your path all the way back to Congress (Woodrow, North Loop, Guadalupe, 51st, Duval, UT, San Jacinto, 11th, to Congress). Congress down to 3rd Street. Right on 3rd Street and over to Trader Joe's and then GZLs HQ. NOTE: For 12 more exactly, turn around at Woodrow and North Loop, without going up to the water stop at Houston. You'll be 4 miles between water stops, but it would not be a big deal if you want to chop the route down a bit.

Left on San Jacinto to and through UT campus. San Jacinto to Duval, and veer right on Duval. Duval up to 51st. Left on 51st over to Guadalupe (UT Intramural fields), and right on Guadalupe up to North Loop. Left on North Loop over to Woodrow. Right on Woodrow across Koenig to Romeria. Left on Romeria to Arroyo Seco. October 6th, 7th (St. George, Chicago): Taper madness week 3. 8-12 miles, with last 4 @ MGP. Start time 5:45am.

October 20th (Brooklyn): Taper madness begins. 14-18 miles, with last 8 @ MGP. Start time 5:45am.

October 27th, 28th (M2M, Marine Corps): 20-24 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 24 mile max.  Start time 5:45am.

Nov 4th (NYC): 10-14 mile recovery long run. Back off a bit from last week. Start time 5:45am.

Nov 18th (Havana, Phillie): 10-14 mile recovery long run. Back off a bit from last week. Start time 5:45am.

Dec 2nd (CIM): 10-14 mile recovery long run. Back off a bit from last week. Start time 5:45am.

Dec 8th, 9th (BCS, Dallas, Honolulu): 14-18 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 18 mile max. Start time 5:45am.

Jan 13th (Disney): 10-12 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 12 mile max. Start time 5:45am.

Jan 20th (Houston): 10-14miles this week, adding 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 14 mile max. Start time 5:45am.

Feb 17th (Austin): You'll officially start in a few weeks. In the meantime, work your long run up to the 10-12 mile range if you are not already there. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, to ease up to the 12 mile range.

BEGINNER GAZELLES, HALF MARATHONERS, and EVERYBODY ELSE:

Beginner Gazelles!  This week, 3-7 miles. Choose a distance amongst your pace pals, up to that 7 mile max. Start time 5:45am.

Everybody Else (GZLs peeps): 7-12 miles. If you went 12 last week, maybe cut back to 7-10 this week. For anything else, add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 12 mile mark. Start time 5:45am.

Sept 30th (Wineglass Half): Run with joy, run smart.

Nov 17th (Phillie Half, Havana Half): Recovery long run 5-8 miles. Back off a bit from last week. Start time 5:45am.

Dec 2nd (CIM Relay, Phoenix RnR Half, San Antonio Half): Recovery long run 5-8 miles. Back off a bit from last week. Start time 5:45am.

Jan 20th (Houston half, 3M): 7-10 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 10 mile max. Start time 5:45am.

Feb 17th (Austin Half): You'll start in a few weeks. Build your long run up to the 8-10 mile range. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 8-10 mile range.
